Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to our most popular questions.

At Lexington Tattoo Removal, we only use the state-of-the-art Quanta 0-Plus EVO laser. We will select the optimal settings for the colors of your tattoo. The laser delivers a burst of energy that breaks up the ink in the tattoo. These smaller ink particles are then removed by your body’s immune system.
Each session is very short. It depends on the size of the tattoo; a small tattoo may take less than a minute! The number of sessions required varies, depending on several factors: the density of the ink in the tattoo, the type of ink, the color, your individual skin tone, and your immune system. We recommend a minimum of 6 weeks between sessions.
Pain sensation and tolerance varies widely between individuals and depends on which part of the body is undergoing treatment. Most people describe the sensation as having your skin snapped with a rubber band. We use a specially designed cooling device to make the treatment as comfortable as possible. We offer a topical pain relief cream although it’s not recommended because it closes your pores and makes tattoo removal less effective.
Definitely. The laser pulse is very focused, and we can remove only certain areas of your tattoo so that you can have it redone or have it look the way you would like.
Our goal is to provide the safest and most affordable treatment possible. Treatment prices start at $99 and are dependent on the size of the tattoo. Consultations are always free, so click on the link below to schedule your consultation today.
With older technology clients were in bandages 1-3 weeks after each removal process. With the new laser technology at Lexington Tattoo Removal you can expect to be in bandages for only about 3 hours. After getting treated, you will likely see swelling and redness for 24-72 hours and your skin will feel like it has a mild sunburn.
A tattoo cover up involves attempting to cover a small tattoo with a larger one. In essence, you’re trying to drown out the old tattoo with a more prominent one. At Lexington Tattoo Removal, we understand that regret comes in all shapes and sizes, and we are here to help! Getting a tattoo lightened in preparation for a tattoo cover up is an excellent way to improve results for your cover up.
